While everyone around me seems to be married, engaged, pregnant or travelling, I find myself momentarily teetering in front of a door asking to be French.
Yes, that’s all. Asking to be French. For someone who’s got more demands and expectations than Kanye at an awards ceremony, that’s quite something for me. For objectivities sake, it was momentary. I subsequently walked on wondering why it’s odd to be free and lonely; and how French girls stay skinny on bread and cheese. The answer found me in the pages of How to Be Parisian Wherever You Are: Love, Style, and Bad Habits by Caroline de Maigret.
Simply, don’t care about it. Stop having complexes about what you can do and what you can’t do. Stop running after perfection – perfection does not exist. Give it up. Très bien? Très bien.
